Sep 8, I have tried reinstalling steam and EU4 I have tried unenabling and reinabling the steam sync I have tried putting eu4 as an exception on windows defender, i had this off before.
I have tried closing eu4, un subscribing all mods, deleting both workshop and documents steam mods not downloading and then resubbing. When i do the reload installed mods, only some of them steam mods not downloading back? When managing the playsets why is this so complicated now? i get a no access sign when i try to enable the mods. FYI both the documents and workshop folders are on the same drive.

I did have the ransomware thing off steam mods not downloading. I have since enabled it as per your other thread and added both eu4 and the eu4 launcher. Still the same. I've tried manually downloading a mod and putting it in the mod folder and its showing up like the others and can be enabled in the launcher but doesnt work ingame.
Do mods work for CK2, HOI4 and Stellaris? Or the same problem? Yeah same problem with HOI4 and Stellaris. Something to do with steam and the launcher then. How about CK2? Because that does not use the new launcher. Yeah the one works. Mods download into mods folder and then can be enabled and work in game. I don't suppose the new You'll need to add the new Paradox Launcher. exe to exception lists of course. No that hasnt made a difference.
I tried manually installing Voltaires nightmare and it sees the mod but its not allowed to be enabled. The old launcher worked fine using only the mod folder, why was it overcomplicated by adding this users one as well? Is there anyway i can revert to the launcher that worked?
You can revert to game versions that used the old launcher, but of course you can't then use mods that have been updated for later game versions, steam mods not downloading. You can set things up so you can load mods without using the launcher at all.
